What a descriptor: "It feels (and looks like) you got sneezed on by a Smurf." This fun 5K (it can't really be called a race because it's all about just getting drenched in color with a corn starch base (which means it comes out easily, though anyone with white or grey hair may want to consider wearing a hat as the colors tend to stay in those hair colors a couple days — unless you like the idea of a pink 'do). We're going to dance from 10 a.m.-noon, though we'll be bringing our floor to set up, which we'll do about 9:30 a.m.
The race is in downtown Columbus near COSI, though where exactly we'll be on the three-mile course we don't know yet, and it's likely we won't have an electrical outlet. We might only have use of a battery-operated boombox or no music at all. Still, it should be a totally fun day. If you're interested in getting "colored," wear a white T-shirt or tank top along with black shorts/pants/capris. While the runners will be drenched in color chaotically as they run through color stations, we can get colored more controlled so it won't get on your shoes, the stage, etc. I would say be there by 9 a.m. if you want to get colored. If you don't want color, wear your Yellow Rose T-shirts.
All the information about the event can be found at http://columbuscolorpalooza.com. As a bonus for dancing here, up to three of your friends or family members can obtain free registration and enjoy the day with you. Let me know if you have folks that want to sign up for the 5K and we'll give you a special code to use at the checkout on the website. Kids 7 and under participate for free.
The event also is looking for volunteers to help out, so friends and family can do so and get in that way as well. This event helps support the American Cancer Society.
We'll have more information later on exact location we'll be dancing and parking options.
Well, I once got sneezed on by a whale, my guess is being sneezed on by a Smurf is somewhat more pleasant :)
I have an appointment that day so I will not be able to be there, but sounds like fun.... if things change I may come,
Wedding in Ft. Lauderdale. Have FUN!
Might be house hunting.
Olivia and Kim for this one.
