A little idea of what we're in for: http://columbusburnssupper.com
We have a limit of 10 dancers that we'll be taking to this event, which celebrates Scottish poet Robert Burns, who penned "Auld Lang Syne." We've been invited to dine on haggis and other homemade Scottish food. Just the dancers will get in free. Anyone else will pay the ticket price of $30.
We've been asked to perform a 25-minute show. There doesn't seem to be a set time when we go on, but the event runs in themed moments. I've been told it could be around 9 p.m. when we dance. The doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash bar. We'll be dancing in the lobby of the Northland Performing Arts Center. They'll have a floor available, but I'm bringing ours just in case. We won't need our equipment other than the iPad.
It's quite informal, so we'll be wearing our T-shirts and black pants. We will plan to dance Scalliwag and 500 Miles for sure (an Irish and a Scottish group). We've been invited to arrive at 6 p.m. and enjoy the festivities before we dance. We'll be doing The Wind as well.
I cannot bring more than 10 dancers. Please make certain you're there early enough so you don't miss the show. If you don't plan on enjoying the food, I'd say if you're there by 8:30, you'll be OK. It's possible I might not be able to dance yet, so don't yet count me as one of the 10.
I'll come if you need me
Just Kim for this one.
I can come, but I'll arrive later in the evening.
