Midwest Clogging Workshop

We have declined the Short North Art al Fresco event since we couldn't get enough dancers to commit. Instead we'll offer attending the Midwest Clogging Workshop near Cincinnati. It's an easy drive with three halls of instruction that run 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The workshop actually begins 8 p.m. Thursday with a fun dance. It's $50/dancer to attend both days; $30/dancer to attend one day, and spectators are $20 each. If you preregister by Aug. 1, the syllabus is free. There also is no fee to bring a video camera. The host hotel and workshop venue is The Drawbridge Inn (800-352-9866, drawbridgeinn.com), which is newly renovated. The clogging rate is $69 + tax per room per night. Leave a comment below if you're interested in going Friday and staying over or just want to go on Saturday and come back all in the same day. I'm game for either.
