We're doing the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival again. We dance outside on a concrete slab at the festival's Hickory Grove Bandstand stage, so we'll be bringing our flooring so nobody injures themselves. Our performance time is 7:40-8:10 p.m. You will likely have to park a bit away and walk to the stage, so factor in that time to get there. If we have new costumes by then, wear those. If not, Yellow Rose T-shirts and black pants/shorts/capris.
I'll need people to help put the floor together prior to bringing it out, have people bring it out and then snap it together. We'll need teamwork on breaking it down quickly as well. Each team only gets 30 minutes to perform and our floor set up and breakdown is part of that time.
This year I'll be emceeing the event starting at 6 p.m., so it's likely we'll have the floor down already for other groups to use. We'll be using our equipment for the event as well.
Each person who participates gets two free ears of sweet corn...and the corn is some of the best around.
