Event Description

UPDATE: We're only doing Pink Cadillac here as the close to the clogging portion of the show, which means we'll dance around 8:25 p.m. This is the ONLY number we'll be doing. I'm bringing my equipment and emceeing the entire event, which begins at 6 p.m. Please use this new info to make your determination of your attendance or not. If you do attend, you still get your two free ears of corn. I'll have 10 dancer passes only to hand out, however. Shirley and Susan, who are signed up, won't count in that total since their team is performing there already and they'll have their own passes.

We've been asked to unofficially dance here if we want to at the Hickory Grove Bandstand stage. We'll only go if enough of us say yes. They're definitely putting us on the agenda next year, however. From what I understand, we get two ears of wonderful sweet corn for free, but don't hold me to that. No time set as yet....will update when I receive it, but it looks like the cloggers perform between 2:30 and 8 p.m. All the info about the fest can be found at www.sweetcornfest.com.

Directions: from COLUMBUS , Ohio - Travel Interstate 70 east to exit #126 (Lancaster-Granville / State Route 37) - Exit Interstate 70 onto State Route 37 to the right, heading south, toward Lancaster - Travel on State Route 37 for 3 miles before turning left, heading east on State Route 204 (toward Millersport) - Travel on State Route 204 for 1 mile to enter Millersport
- There are several Festival Parking Entrances off of State Route 204.

Comment by LINDA on July 1, 2009 at 11:57pm: I will try my best to get to the festival if we decide to dance a few numbers there. There are ALOT of cloggers that perform at this festival. If we have a choice of when we dance that day the later the better for me. I have a baby shower that starts at 1pm and it is a family member, If we dance in the evening hours after 4 or 5pm then I would love to be there . and YES the corn is yummy and if we perform we do get 2 ears free .

Comment by Adam King on August 20, 2009 at 2:05pm: Kim, we're only scheduled to do Pink Cadillac around 8:25 p.m., though we can dance with the Wildfire Cloggers (Shirley's team) on a few numbers they do that we do. So it's not a full-on exhibition this year. Next year it will be. Whoever comes does get those sweet ears of corn for free, though :-).

Routines: All Shook Up, Mama Mia, Men in Black, and Fox. And YES, I want you, Adam, especially, to perform Fox. You will be center front. I can talk on the mic after this one, when you become winded. Comment by Shirley Lipps on August 31, 2009 at 11:59am: Always allow extra drive time to Millersport Ohio - sometimes the traffic is really bad. One year, it took me 1 hour to drive from the exit off of I-70 to Millersport, Ohio. This is a fun Clog Event, draws lots of people to watch.
