UPDATE: WE WILL DANCE FROM 3:40-4:20 p.m.

Well, as luck would have it, one of the groups scheduled to perform at this first annual Dance Day celebration at the Ohio State Fair has dropped out and we've been asked to jump in. You'll need to sign up by July 13 so we can order tickets for those folks going. I'm trying to find out if family is covered for free tickets as well.

The event is in a covered space (the ShowPlace Pavilion) with a concrete dance floor, so I'm checking at the moment to see if we can bring our floor. It will be a 30-minute show; then we'll take 10 minutes to teach the crowd how to do a basic clogging step or two. There will be a variety of other dance groups teaching their skills as well (line dancing, belly dancing, etc.). Hopefully it's great exposure, and you'll get to attend the State Fair for free. Our show is on the next to last day of the fair.

As a heads up, we do not have enough tickets to cover everyone who has signed up for this event since some of you signed up after the deadline. I'll let you know individually if you have to buy a ticket to attend. They are available at any Kroger store for $6. If you don't hear from me by Sunday, that means you have a ticket set aside for you. Tajah and Emma will each receive an adult ticket as well so a parent can bring them free of charge.

I am looking forward to doing other types of dances this day also along with clogging, It is pretty cool they have made a dance day event this year at the fair. I hope to do some ballroom dances at 11:30 with my boogie dance team and there will also be square dancing, belly dancing, and all kinds of cool things. I know we will do a GREAT SHOW !!!!!
