World of Clogging Workshop

This is the Memorial Day weekend workshop that used to be at King's Island, now located in northern Cincinnati. Workshops go from 1-5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. Fun dances are both nights from 7:30-10:30 p.m. A good staff of instructors will be on hand, and you can access all the information and download a registration flier at http://www.cloggingcontest.com/OHworkshop.htm.

Registration for the workshop is $25 before May 18 and $30 per dancer thereafter. The host hotel is $89 per night at the Crowne Plaza Cincinnati North (regularly $119), which has an indoor water park. Request the World of Clogging rate when booking at 877.227.6963.

I'm planning on going both days, and if we want to go as a team (or individual families wish to go) to King's Island amusement park, the workshop will be offering discounted tickets, usually at a pretty good deal. We've bought tickets from the workshop in the past.

A clogging competition begins Saturday night and goes all day Sunday. Anyone is free to attend, though not sure if you have to pay a spectator fee to watch the competition or if the workshop fee gets you in.
