Event Description

The team attended this festival last year, and it's where we were introduced to Susan and Christina, who now dance with us. We had a great time, and we've been invited back by the clogging show organizer, Lee Froehle. We're planning on doing a single car-themed song routine, "Pink Cadillac," to do in the cloggers showcase there as well as our own 20-minute Yellow Rose performance starting at 12:40 p.m. Last year we danced on Saturday, and we're doing so again. IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING, I NEED TO KNOW BY JULY 10 AND HOW MANY GUESTS YOU ARE BRINGING!!.

We get a really nice stage to dance on, and thousands of people come to this festival from all over Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. There are animals, crafts, food, games, etc. Very kid-friendly place. We will receive enough tickets for all of our dancers, and last time we even got enough for all our guests as well. Don't know if overflow tickets will be possible yet or not. We should be able to park free, however. Other clogging teams will perform as well, so it's fun to see what other people do, too. We hope to make this an annual trek for our team...and it is a trek...about an hour and a half drive as well as some traffic to deal with once you get there. But well worth it.

Comment by Naomi Zweben King on September 12, 2009 at 3:04pm: TIME UPDATE: We actually just got an updated schedule from Lee (along with our passes) a couple of days ago - we are now performing at 2:30pm for half an hour. The Car-themed show is at 1pm, and we are currently scheduled to go first in that. Apparently Lee had a few cancellations which is why the times changed. We'll let you know if there are any further changes, but we don't anticipate any.
